Imama Amakapabo recounts Kano Pillars win importance to Abia Warriors

Despite securing a crucial 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars, Abia Warriors’ Technical Adviser, Imama Amakapabo, believes the team has yet to reach its full potential.
This win marked the Warriors’ first success of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, a significant step as they adapt to Amakapabo’s philosophy and approach.
The former Enugu Rangers coach expressed his satisfaction with the team’s progress, noting that the players are gradually adjusting to the new mentality and orientation, emphasizing that this victory will boost morale as they move forward.
“I came into a team with many new players, and it’s always challenging to shift the mentality and philosophy,” Amakapabo stated.
“While we’ve been creating chances in earlier matches, this win will uplift everyone’s spirits as we work towards our goals.”
Abia Warriors will look to build on this momentum in their next match, an Oriental derby against Enugu Rangers on Sunday.
