Insurance Technical Adviser dissatisfied with NNL Super 4 organisation in Yenagoa

Technical Adviser of Bendel Insurance, Monday Odigie is not happy with the organisers of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4.
The Super Four slated to take place in Bayelsa State was initially postponed due to the flood and will now kick off on Wednesday and will decide the Champions of the second-tier league in Nigeria.
According to the coach, the Super 4 no longer has lot it relevance.
“The Super 4 complies with the NNL Statues that there must be a winner. Of what purpose are we now playing the Super 4 in November when the league finished in August? What are you trying to achieve?” Odigie told Brila FM ahead of Bendel Insurance’s opening Super 4 game with El Kanemi Warriors at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa.
Current Nigeria Federation Cup holders and Southern Conference group B2 winners in the Nigeria National League(NNL), Bayelsa United will take to the pitch first against Northern conference group A1 victors, Doma United of Gombe as hostilities for the Super4Â begins Wednesday 16 November 2022.
The draw conducted Tuesday in the Bayelsa State capital pitched the host state-owned club nicknamed the “Restoration Boys” in the opener with the Savannah Tigers, as Doma United are fondly called to tango at 2 pm.
The second match on day one will see A1 winners,El-Kanemi Warriors slug it out with B1 winners Bendel Insurance of Benin at the same venue in a game that will start at 4 pm.
The four teams are already promoted to the Nigerian elite league with the Super4 providing the NNL the opportunity to determine the overall champions for the 2021/2022 season and bring it to a conclusion.
The Super4 will be played in a round-robin format that will see all teams play each other with the club with the highest points crowned the overall champion of the NNL.
