Italian agent Giuseppe Pisano backs Ademola Lookman to recover scoring boots

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman started the season like a house on fire but is now on a five-game barren run.

The winger’s best output in a single season was eight goals which he scored in 42 games across all competitions on loan at Leicester City in 2021/22.

However, since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig on a four-year deal last summer, Lookman has been on fire for the Nerazzurri with 12 goals and 5 assists in 24 games in the Italian league.

Having scored 14 goals in 20 games across all competitions before February, his most recent goal came in January during Atalanta’s home match against Sampdoria at the Gewiss Stadium.

The 25-year-old has however gone from seven goals in five games in January which led to a Serie A player of the month nomination for him to now failing to score in February despite playing five games.

Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb for a piece titled “A face to face”, Italian agent, Giuseppe Pisano insisted that the Nigerian forward is progressing under his Italian coach and he would pose a greater danger to rivals in the league.

“Thanks to Gasperini, he is growing week after week, and we are sure that he will be even more of a protagonist.”
