“It’s a painful defeat for us” – Usman Abdallah livid over Pillars loss to Remo Stars

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah of Kano Pillars expressed his disappointment following his team’s 2-0 home defeat to Remo Stars on Sunday in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) contest.
The loss at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina was marked by goals from Sodiq Ismail and Frank Mawuena, securing a comfortable victory for the Sky Blues Stars.
Abdallah acknowledged that Remo Stars’ early preparation for the season, due to their continental commitments, gave them a competitive edge.
“It’s a painful defeat for us, especially at home. Remo Stars have been well-prepared, while we are still building up,” he stated.
Despite the setback, Abdallah remained optimistic, promising a strong response in their upcoming matches.
“I am confident we will bounce back and aim for maximum points in our upcoming games,” he told Pillars media.
