Jose Peseiro extols Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman’s qualities

Nigeria national team coach, Jose Peseiro is delighted to have Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman in the Nigeria’s fold following their impressive goalscoring forms for Napoli and Atalanta respectively this season.

Osimhen and Lookman are starring in the Italian Serie as they are the top scorers of their respective clubs as both teams had a faceoff but it ended in 2-0 victory for the Partenopei at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The Portuguese tactician believes Lookman’s creation of chances and scoring of goals makes him more technical than Osimhen, stressing the growth of the two player is attributed to the good system that they are.

“Ademola (Lookman) is more technical than Osimhen, more inclined to create chances and he is now also scoring,” Peseiro told BrillaFM.net.

“He’s (Lookman) really doing well this year. He grew up with Gasperini and now he’s always playing well and we are happy with him. He too can aspire to do great things. I would add one thing that applies to both.

“It is no coincidence that they have both grown like this year. This is because they are both within a good game system. Atalanta and Napoli want the ball, they want to play and attack. In these conditions, players like this are exalted. Italian football has changed a lot in recent years.”

Osimhen has scored 19 goals in the Serie A to top the goal scorers chart, while Lookman has 14 goals to his name.
