Jose Peseiro weighs offers as contract extension talks with NFF lingers

Nigeria’s head coach, Jose Peseiro now has a decision to make concerning his career with interest from clubs and national teams alike.
The Portuguese tactician led the 2013 AFCON champions to a commendable second-place finish at the just-concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Meanwhile, his current contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expired after the tournament.
With the criteria that he must reach the semifinals at least, the federation will now ponder on whether to extend his contract after surpassing the laid-out ultimatum.
Also with Nigeria now ranked 28th globally and third in Africa by FIFA, Peseiro’s options are now high as Zamalek SC of Egypt and the Algerian national team now showing keen interest.
“I received many offers that I must first rest after the African Cup finals. I will decide my future soon,” Peseiro was quoted by El Hayat TV.
“I just arrived in my homeland, Portugal, to have a rest. I received an offer from Alfaf, and my agent will handle the matter.”
