Josh Maja wins West Brom goal of the season award for strike against Luton

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian forward Josh Maja has been named the winner of West Bromwich Albion’s Goal of the Season award for the 2024/25 campaign.

The 26-year-old clinched the honour for his well-taken finish against Luton Town in November, earning the highest number of votes from the club’s supporters.

Isaac Price’s volley against Hull City came in second place, while John Swift’s expertly taken free-kick against Burnley at Turf Moor completed the top three.

Maja’s award adds to an impressive individual season. He was also named West Brom’s top scorer, netting 12 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions.

The former Bordeaux and Fulham striker has become a key figure in Carlos Corberán’s side, with his contributions helping the Baggies maintain a strong push in the Championship.
