Juliet Sunday bags brace in Hapoel Beersheva’s first win over Tel Aviv

Nigeria forward, Juliet Sunday was the heroine as she scored two goals to lift Hapoel Beersheva to a 2-1 win against Tel Aviv on Thursday.

It took just two minutes into the game for the former Bayelsa Queens forward to break the deadlock for the host.

With her team leading by the thread, she doubled the lead in the 76th minute.

The second goal was a crucial one as Tel Aviv pulled a goal back through an own goal from Amit Beilin in the 79th minute.

The game featured two Nigerians on either side, with Barakat Olaiya playing for Tel Aviv.

The win was the first of the Israeli Ligat Al Women’s Championship after 15 games.

They occupy the bottom position on the log with five points.

Tel Aviv, on the other hand, seats in sixth place with 19 points.
