Kabiru Dogo dedicates Kwara United’s NPFL survival to Kwara Govt, stakeholders

Technical Adviser of Kwara United has dedicate his side’s important 1-0 win over Nasarawa United on Sunday to the Government of Kwara State, the media and football enthusiasts in Akure, Ondo State.
The Harmony Boys beat the drop to the Nigeria National League with the win over their North Central rivals with a late goal from substitute Yahaya Ibrahim with eight minutes from time.
The result means Kwara United will be in the NPFL next season despite their dismal outing in the current campaign and the manager expressed delight for meeting the target just as he described the success as collective achievement.
“I’m really happy we were able to survive, I knew we would but I wasn’t expecting that it will be this difficult, we thank God it was a success, Dogo told Nigeriafootball.ng in Akure.
“Its not a one man show, this success belongs to all of and I want appreciate the Kwara State Government through the Sports Commission, the management, the media and especially the people of Akure for their support, this is for them.”
Kwara United will be taking on Ikorodu City FC in the Round of 32 clash of the Federation Cup on Wednesday in Osogbo and Dogo said the focus is to finish well and see how far the team could go in the Federation Cup.
“We are not going relax now, we still one game to play and we give it our best shots, also we want to give much attention to the Cup,” he concluded.
