Kelechi Iheanacho bemoans Leicester City’s FA Cup elimination at Blackburn Rovers

Nigerian winger, Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed disappointment over Leicester City’s 2-1 FA Cup quarterfinal defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday.
Iheanacho came in as a second half substitute to score Leicester’s only goal but the forward could not see his side’s avoid defeat as the Foxes were stunned by goals from Tyrhys Dolan and Sammie Szmodics to give Rovers.
The loss was Leicester City’s third straight defeats in their last three games in all competitions and a disappointed Super Eagles’ winger was short of words to described the pain of the Foxes’ elimination.
“I am so disappointed, I don’t even have the words now especially because we were at home,” Iheanacho told Leicester website.
“We did our bit but it was not enough. If you don’t do what you have to do, you get punished. We just have to look forward to the Premier League and do better.”
Meanwhile, the Brendan Rodgers’ side would travel to Saint Mary’s Stadium to take on relegation-threatened Southampton on Saturday with the hope to get back to winning ways.
Iheanacho has been in rich form since the last week of January, scoring four goals in six games.
The former Manchester city man would be looking to help his side return to King Power with three points.
