The Nigerian duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi produced another scintillating performance to help Leicester continued their quest for a return to the Premier League with an emphatic 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
Ndidi was handed the starting berth while Iheanacho played from the bench for the Foxes at the Ewood Park.
Belgium defender Wout Faes had given the Foxes a four minutes lead with a fine header before Samuel Szmodic scored what would then be Blackburn’s consolatory goal five minutes later.
Ndidi assisted Jamie Vardy for the second goal to see Leicester went ahead at half time.
With less than 20 minutes to play, Coach Endo Fonseca introduced Iheanacho and the Super Eagles’ winger make the most of it as he scored Leicester’ third goal from the spot, marking his third of the new Championship season.
Dewsbury-Hall put the icing on score sheet with the fourth goal in the 88th minutes to see Leicester retained their top spot with 24 points from nine games.
