Kwara United continued their resurgence under Coach Tunde Sanni, securing a convincing 2-0 victory over arch-rivals Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in a highly anticipated Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash in ilorin.
The South-West rivalry between Kwara United and 3SC but their defeat to the hosts Kwara United will be ‘bitter pill to swallow’ because of their incredible run of form this season.
In contrast, Kwara United’s resurgence has seen them climb to a respectable mid-table position, with their sights firmly set on a top-six finish.
The Harmony Boys dominated proceedings from start to finish, with their goals coming courtesy of some slick attacking play as Kabiru Mohammed drawn the first blood in the 21st minute while Ojifini Abdullahi put icing on the cake with a second goal in the 56th minute.
As the season enters its crucial phase, Kwara United will be looking to build on this momentum and push for a strong finish.
With their rivalry with 3SC now firmly in their favor, the Harmony Boys will be eager to continue their upward trajectory and leave their opponents in their wake.
