Lagos FA Cup: Fatai Bashiru shifts focus to 2024 Federation Cup

Dannaz Ladies coach, Fatai Bashiru has shifted the club’s focus to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Cup.
The Cedars lost the Lagos FA Cup final to Robo Queens at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan after a 2-1 defeat.
Fatai said fatigue, and shuttling between long distanced away league matches during the competition led to the loss as he assures that the Cedars will churn out positive results when they embark on the Federation Cup.
“Our FA Cup final today should have been our first victory over Robo Queens but the players played with fatigue and were stressed due to the away league matches played between the run up to the FA Cup final,” Fatai told Nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.
“It wasn’t a good game for us but we have nothing to do than to accept the defeat.
“No pressure, no tension for Dannaz Ladies when they begin their Federation Cup challenge but we are assuring our fans that we will represent Lagos well in good manner and ensure we get victories.”
Since coming into existence barely four years ago, Dannaz Ladies are yet to win the Lagos FA Cup unlike their male counterpart who made history by winning the prestigious tournament two years ago.
