Leicester City Manager Claude Puel Suggests Ahmed Musa Departure in January Transfer Window

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has acknowledged the possibility of Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa departing the club, signaling a potential shift in the player’s career. Musa, once Leicester’s high-profile £16 million signing from CSKA Moscow in the summer of 2016, has experienced a diminishing role under Puel’s management, finding himself outside the first-team selection.
Despite being on the bench during Leicester’s recent Premier League encounter with Liverpool, Musa has not featured in any league match this season. His lone appearance occurred in the Carabao Cup clash against Sheffield United in August, where he notably contributed with a goal in Leicester’s 4-1 victory.
Recent speculations about Musa’s future include a potential loan move to Turkish side Bursaspor, gaining traction earlier this week. Manager Claude Puel addressed the situation following Leicester’s 0-0 draw against Fleetwood Town in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup, hinting at a likely move for Musa in the upcoming January transfer window.
“We will see,” Puel conveyed to Leicester Mercury when questioned about Musa’s potential departure. “Perhaps it is a possibility. We will see for the player and with the opportunity for the club also. There is always discussion, and I need to have some discussions about some players.”
As the transfer window approaches, Ahmed Musa’s future remains uncertain, with Leicester City and the player himself awaiting developments that could shape his footballing journey in the coming months.
