By Wale Mustapha

Vice-captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Moses Simon, has penned an emotional farewell to FC Nantes as he prepares to join newly promoted Paris FC.

The 29-year-old winger leaves the Canaries after six seasons, during which he became one of the club’s most consistent and influential performers.

He completed his medical with Paris FC on Tuesday and is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 newcomers.

Reflecting on his time at Nantes, Simon shared a heartfelt message with fans and teammates: “Six seasons of giving it your all with your heart. Sprints, crosses, thrill and etched memories.

“Thank you FC Nantes, thank you Beaujoire. I leave with pride and a piece of this club in my heart.”

Simon joined Nantes in 2019 and enjoyed his most productive campaign last season, registering eight goals and ten assists in 32 league appearances.

He also served as a vice-captain and fan favorite, known for his pace, creativity, and leadership on the field.

His move to Paris FC marks a new chapter in his career as he joins the ambitious capital-based side ahead of their debut season in Ligue 1 McDonald’s.
