Ligue 1: Nantes coach confirms another round of surgery for Moses Simon

By Wale Mustapha

Antoine Kamboure, the manager of French Ligue 1 club Nantes, has confirmed that Nigerian forward Moses Simon will undergo surgery soon after suffering an injury during the team’s 4-1 defeat to Brest over the weekend.

The 29-year-old, who provided the assist for Nantes’ lone goal in that match, played the full 90 minutes despite the injury.

Kamboure disclosed that Simon would be sidelined for up to two weeks as he undergoes the procedure.

“We are taking advantage of this period, with the short break coming up, for him to have this operation. It will give him a period of two weeks before he can calmly resume with the group,” Kamboure explained ahead of Nantes’ upcoming clash with JA Drancy.

So far this season, Simon has contributed four goals and five assists in 14 appearances for Nantes.
