Macleans Chinonyerem and Folashade Ijamilusi combine to lift Liaoning to victory over Zhejiang

Nigeria duo, Macleans Chinonyerem and Folashade Ijamilusi scored a goal each to propel Liaoning to a 2-0 win against Zhejiang in the Chinese Women’s Super League on Sunday.

It took the first 19 minutes for Macleans to score the opener for the host.

Ijamilusi doubled the lead in the 46th minute of play.

Macleans have scored three goals for Liaoning since joining the Chinese side from Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia.

She also played for Bayelsa Queens, Bobruichanka, Leczna, Stomilanki, and Lokomotiv Moscow.

Ijamilusi on her side scored her first goal in the league for Liaoning since completing her switch from Edo Queens in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.

She also played for FC Robo Queens in the Nigerian women’s league.

Liaoning occupy the third position on the Chinese Women’s Super League with 10 points after five games.

They will next face Shaanxu Changan on April 19, 2025.
