Macleans Chinonyerem bags brace in Lokomotiv Moscow’s win over Ryazan

Nigeria international, Macleans Chinonyerem scored two goals as Lokomotiv Moscow earned a 3-0 win against Ryazan in the Russian Supreme Division Women encounter on Saturday.
The former Gornik Lezcna player opened her goal account for the season last weekend as her Russian team defeated FK Yanisey 2-0 during the league opener.
The 2022 season’s top scorer in the Polish Ekstraliga continued in her rich vein of form this week, scoring two goals to give the former Russian champions a comfortable win.
Katrina Khorosheva scored the first goal of the match for the host in the 59th minute before Chinonyerem doubled her side’s lead in the 67th minute and increased its lead to three six minutes from regulation time.
The latest brace increased Nigeria international’s tally for the season to three after two league games.
The Moscow side occupy the third position on the log with six points but behind Francesca Ordega’s CSKA Moscow top the log on a superior goals difference of nine ahead of Zenit and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Up next for Lokomotiv Moscow is an away clash with Zvezda 2005 on March 25.
