Magnus Magnut replaces Fidelis Ilechukwu as Plateau United head coach

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Plateau United now have a new Head Coach as the team confirmed the appointment of Magnus Magut.
The Jos based club confirmed the appointment of Mangut after he signed a two-year deal with an option for another year with the Peace Boys.
He replaces former coach Fidelis Ilechukwu who has joined another NPFL outfit, Rangers International Football Club of Enugu.
“Coach Mbwas Mangut has officially appended his signature along the dotted lines. He is the new sweat merchant for Plateau United,” the club wrote on its Twitter handle.
Ilechukwu helped the team qualify for the CAF Champions League after its second place finish at the end of the 2021/2022 season.
Last season (2022/2023), the team finished in fifth position in Group A with 23 points after 18 games.
Meanwhile, the new General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Habila Hosea Mutla, has charged the new Head Coach of the team Mangut, to hit the ground running. He gave the charge in Jos after the unveiling of the coach.
