Maiden WAFU-A & B U-20 Boys Cup: Flying Eagles to know foes on Friday

Nigeria’s U-20 national team will get to know their opponents for the maiden West Africa Zone A & B U-20 Boys Cup on Thursday.

The draw for the competition involving the two West Africa football zone regions will take place at WAFU-B headquarters, Abidjan Cote D’Ivoire by 11:00 GMT.

15 teams from both regions, including the Flying Eagles, will go into the draw revealing the groups.

Notably, The Gambia, Mali, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mauritania, Senegal, Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, and Cote d’Ivoire are the other teams expected to be drawn.

Host, Ghana, Niger Republic, Guinea, and Burkina Faso are other teams.

The success of U-20 Girls Cups in both regions informed the brain behind this tournament.

It will serve as preparation for teams ahead of the next FIFA U-20 World Cup.
