Mbwas Magnut bemoans Plateau United loss to Bendel Insurance

By Wale Mustapha

Plateau United’s Technical Adviser, Mbwas Mangut, expressed his disappointment after his side’s 2-1 defeat to Insurance FC on Saturday in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Peace Boys were undone by goals from Uche Collins and Kayode Oke for the Benin Arsenals, while Olawale Doyeni scored Plateau United’s only goal in the encounter at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

Mangut lamented that his team had opportunities to either win or secure a point, but were ultimately left empty-handed.

“We had every chance to win the match or at least pick a point, it’s unfortunate we are leaving empty-handed,” he said in a post-match interview.

Despite the setback, Mangut remains optimistic and stressed that Plateau United will keep fighting for better results in their upcoming fixtures. “We approach every game with the mindset to win and we will continue to fight for better results next time,” he added.

With Plateau United sitting in 18th place on the NPFL table after 15 matches, the team will need to quickly bounce back and secure a positive result when they face Heartland in Jos next weekend.
