Michelle Alozie hints at her sexuality after controversial instagram story post

The Houston Dash star’s relationship status is one that has always been of interest to Nigerians, especially men as the 26-year-old fullback is a national sweetheart, having endeared fans with her performance and looks at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

On Tuesday, she posted a picture of her and another female colleague accompanied by the caption: “Happy us over them, to my husband”.

The screenshots of the post began to go viral on social media, with several Nigerians sharing their wild opinions.

Born in California, homosexuality is legal in that part of the world but for the nation she represents it is illegal and punishable by law.

The Nigerian international later posts hinted that the viral picture was a prank as she was just celebrating her friend’s birthday.

She said, “I like guys. lol. relax.”

Her partner in the photo Diana Rosario Ordóñez a Mexican defender who is a teammate with the Hosuton Dash also debunked the lesbian claims.

“Never thought we would have to tell Twitter world that we like guys,” she posted.

Alozie then quoted a tweet with another message that reads; “I promise you there are more important issues to discuss in the world than my sexuality.”
