Mohamed Salah stunned by 25,000 Trabzonspor fans after arrival in Turkey

Mohamed Salah said he had never experienced anything like the welcome he received from Trabzonspor supporters after about 25,000 fans gathered at Trabzon Airport to greet the Egypt captain.

The forward, who has officially arrived in Turkey to join Trabzonspor, was visibly surprised by the size and enthusiasm of the crowd. He described the scenes as “incredible” and said the reception had surpassed anything he had encountered during his football career.

Salah spoke to Turkish website 61saat shortly after his arrival and expressed his happiness at beginning his latest chapter with the Turkish club. He said his priority was to help Trabzonspor achieve success both domestically and in European competition.

“I am extremely happy to be in this incredible atmosphere. I do not remember ever seeing anything like this before, and words cannot describe how happy I am,” Salah said.

The former Egypt captain appeared astonished as he took in the scale of the support at the airport.

“There are 25,000 people here. This is incredible. I have never seen anything like this. I have achieved success everywhere, and I want to achieve success with Trabzonspor as well, in the league and in Europe,” he added.
