Morocco 2025 AFCON witness record demand for FAN ID application

The process of applying for FAN ID cards, dedicated to supporters of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, has witnessed record-breaking demand, marking an unprecedented milestone in the history of continental competitions.

According to official information obtained by Rue20 from the organizing committee of this major African event, the number of applications for the FAN ID — which allows fans from around the world to purchase match tickets and obtain entry visas to Morocco to support their national teams — has reached two million requests.

The digital platform YALLA, launched for this purpose, recorded a massive influx of visitors, leading to a temporary technical slowdown and several hours of interruption. This innovative system is being used for the first time in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

To date, the number of officially activated user accounts has reached 92,000, while more than 56,000 FAN ID cards have been validated within just 20 hours — a record pace that reflects the extraordinary enthusiasm and global interest surrounding the upcoming AFCON hosted by Morocco.
