Morocco Introduces Free E-Visas Ahead of AFCON 2025

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

With just weeks to go before the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) kicks off, Morocco has announced the introduction of free electronic visas (e-visas) through the Yalla app, marking another milestone in its preparations for the continental showpiece.

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) confirmed the development while unveiling the second phase of ticket sales ahead of the tournament, which begins on December 21.

The first batch of tickets, released in early October, sold out quickly—especially for matches involving the host nation. The second phase, launched in late October, includes hospitality packages featuring premium seating, VIP lounges, and private boxes.

The Yalla mobile app, the official digital platform for AFCON 2025, now combines both the Fan ID and e-visa systems in one seamless package. With visa fees scrapped, international fans will find it easier than ever to travel to Morocco and enjoy the tournament.

Available via the App Store, Google Play, and [www.yallamorocco.ma](http://www.yallamorocco.ma), the app serves as a central hub for all AFCON 2025 activities—from ticketing and Fan IDs to travel information.

Ticket prices for group-stage matches start at around 100 MAD for standard options and can reach 400 MAD or more for premium seats, particularly for Morocco’s games and other high-profile fixtures.

Each ticket purchase requires a Fan ID generated through the Yalla app. The digital ticket is linked to the Fan ID’s QR code, which must be presented with valid identification for stadium access.

The new system aims to improve convenience, transparency, and security, ensuring a smooth experience for both local and visiting supporters.

With visa barriers lifted and ticket sales ramping up, Morocco’s preparations for AFCON 2025 are entering the final stretch — and excitement across Africa continues to build ahead of kickoff.
