Morocco qualify for historic Colombia 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup
Morocco’s U20 women’s football team have qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2024 in Colombia.
This is the first ever qualification to the global youth tournament for the national U20 women’s team following a 2-1 aggregate triumph over Ethiopia.
Morocco had beaten Ethiopia 2-0 in the first leg, played last Saturday at the El Abdi stadium in El Jadida.

Despite losing (0-1) to its Ethiopian counterpart on Sunday at the Abebe Bikila stadium in Addis Ababa, in the second leg of the fourth and final round of African qualifiers, scheduled for August 31 to September 22.

This is also saw the North African country completed qualification treble for Women’s World Cup, at the senior level in 2022 to compete at the 2023 showpiece, and India 2022 U17 Women’s World Cup.
The Atlas Lionesses reached the knockout stages on first attempt, recording two group stage wins, and the young Lionesses bagged a win despite crashing out of the group stage at the expense of United States and Brazil.
