Moses Simon Expresses Joy at Return to Gent Action Following Injury Lay-off

By James Agberebi:

Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has conveyed his happiness at making a triumphant return to KAA Gent’s lineup after a period of injury-induced absence. Simon marked his comeback in style by contributing to Gent’s convincing 3-0 victory over Lokeren, completing the full 90 minutes on the pitch. His return follows a missed opportunity in Gent’s 1-0 home win against Uche Agbo’s Standard Liege due to the injury.

Simon’s absence extended beyond the club level, as he was unavailable for the Super Eagles’ final Group B match in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Algeria in Constantine on November 10. He also sat out the subsequent friendly game against Argentina four days later.

Expressing his gratitude for the support received during his recovery, Simon took to his Twitter handle to acknowledge the fans and teammates. He wrote, “Good to be back. Big thanks to all buffalo fans and most especially to my teammates for your never-ceasing support.”

Simon’s return is not only a personal triumph but also a boost for Gent as they continue their campaign. His contributions on the field have been integral to Gent’s success, and his return adds depth and dynamism to the team’s attacking prowess.

As Simon resumes action for both Gent and the Super Eagles, fans eagerly anticipate his continued impact and stellar performances in the upcoming fixtures.
