Moses Simon hints at potential Nantes exit amid transfer interest

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian winger Moses Simon has suggested he could be open to leaving FC Nantes this summer, though he insists any decision will ultimately rest with the club.

The 29-year-old, who has been with Nantes since 2019, enjoyed an impressive 2024/25 campaign, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists in 32 appearances.

His performances have reportedly attracted interest from several clubs, including Premier League side Everton, Ligue 1 rivals Olympique Marseille, and Paris FC.

Simon spoke fondly of his time at the French club but acknowledged he is open to a new challenge.

“I have a lot of love and respect for the club, but like any player, I’m always open to new challenges in life,” Simon said in an interview with SportsBoom.

“If I receive an offer and Nantes agree to it, I will definitely consider making a move. However, if the club decides not to accept any offers, I will fully respect my contract because I am still their player.”

Simon, a fan favorite at the Beaujoire, has been a key figure in Nantes’ attack since joining from Levante, initially on loan, before making the move permanent.

With the summer transfer window approaching, his future remains one to watch closely as interest in the Nigerian international continues to grow.
