Musab Suleiman: Nigerian striker joins Daugavpils from Footwork FC
Nigeria striker Mus’ab Suleiman has joined Latvian club Daugavpils from Footwork FC, completing the move on 14 August 2026.
The 18-year-old forward arrives at the Virsliga side as a centre-forward, adding a 1.90m attacking option to Daugavpils’ squad. Suleiman was born on 30 April 2008 and is listed as a Nigerian national.
Suleiman’s move marks his first recorded switch to a club in Latvia after leaving Footwork FC. The transfer was completed during the 2026-27 season, with Daugavpils becoming his current club.
He joins at the start of his senior career, having yet to make an appearance for Daugavpils in the 2026 Latvian Cup. He has not started a match or recorded minutes in the competition, while the club’s current campaign listing shows no goals or assists for the striker.
Daugavpils compete in the Virsliga, Latvia’s top division, and the club will now provide Suleiman with his latest football setting following his departure from Footwork FC. His arrival gives the team another recognised striker for the season.
Suleiman’s age and position are the clearest details surrounding the move. At 18, he is entering senior football with a profile centred on leading the attack, while his height places him among the taller forward options in the Daugavpils squad.
The transfer also provides a fresh start after his spell with Footwork FC. No contract length has been announced, and the deal’s financial terms have not been disclosed.
Suleiman is now registered with Daugavpils and joins the Latvian club as a Nigerian striker after completing his move from Footwork FC.
