Napoli linked with Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu

German-Nigerian goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, who plays for Freiburg, has been linked with a move to Napoli.

Atubolu is 24 and currently represents Freiburg in the Bundesliga, while Napoli are preparing for the 2026-27 campaign in Serie A. The reported switch would see the goalkeeper move from Germany to Italy, although the transfer has not been confirmed.

Atubolu’s market value is listed at €25m, placing a clear valuation on a player who remains under contract with Freiburg until 30 June 2027. That agreement means any move before its expiry would require Napoli and Freiburg to reach a transfer arrangement.

The link between the clubs emerged on 5 August 2026. No transfer fee, agreement or probability has been established, and there has been no confirmation from either club that negotiations are taking place.

Atubolu’s dual German and Nigerian nationality is part of his background, but the available details do not indicate which country he represents internationally. For now, he remains a Freiburg goalkeeper with less than a year of his current contract remaining after the 2026-27 season begins.
