By Dayo Awoniyi

Nigeria’s home-based national football team, the Super Eagles B, kicked off preparations for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Monday with an intensive training session at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Twenty-one players participated in the opening night session, held under floodlights, as the team began its build-up to the continental tournament scheduled to start in August.

The camp is expected to expand to 45 players with the arrival of an additional 24 invitees on Tuesday.

Nigeria will compete in Group D of the CHAN tournament alongside Senegal, Sudan, and Congo. The team’s first match is scheduled for August 5 against Senegal.
