Nigeria boost as Victor Osimhen returns from injury with a bang for Napoli

Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen returned to his goal scoring form as Napoli defeated Apollon Limassol 2-0 in a friendly encounter at the Castel di Sangro training ground.

The Super Eagles striker had picked up a knock that was feared to be a heavy injury but the Lagos raised star has managed to shrug it off, as he made a scoring return for the Partenopei.

Osimhen put Napoli ahead before the hour mark following a fantastic assist from Matihas Olivera.

With 19 minutes to the end of the encounter, Juan Jesus setup a through ball for Giovanni Simeone to meet by defeating the offside trap to double the Partenopei lead.

Osimhen has now found the back of the net thrice in two preseason matches for the Italian champions.

The Serie A champions will begin the defense of their title when the league starts on August 19 with an away game to Frosinone.
