Nigeria women’s national team continue to rewrite the history books at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, moving to within one goal of another remarkable milestone following their 6-2 victory over Egypt.
Nigeria have now scored 199 goals in the history of the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, the highest tally by any nation since the competition’s inception.
The record further underlines the Super Falcons’ unrivalled dominance of African women’s football. Their 199 goals are 103 more than the next highest-scoring nation, South Africa, who have managed 96.
