Nigeria contingent arrives Abidjan in style for Africa Cup of Nations 2023 showdown

The delegation of Nigeria senior men’s national team has touched down in Abidjan, capital of Ivory Coast ahead of the African Cup of Nations, starting on Saturday.

The Super Eagles’ team comprises of technical crew, players and other backroom staff, dressed in African attires in buoyant mood, left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Wednesday morning and arrived in Abidjan few minutes later.

They came in from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday where they went for closed camping and honored two friendlies against local club Al Gharib and Guinea national team.

The three-time Afcon champions were hosted to a send forth dinner by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday night.

Nigeria will begin the tournament with a clash against the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea in their first game at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe on Sunday.
