Nigeria legend Desire Oparanozie lists quality of her ideal man

By Monsurah Olatunji
Recently retired Nigeria striker, Desire Oparanozie has listed what she looks out for in a man.
The former Super Falcons star played her last game against England at the just concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
The 29-year-old has been a victim of reoccurring injury but still managed to have a decent career with the Super Falcons where she made 35 appearances for Nigeria and scored 22 goals.
She captained the historic team that made it past the group stage of a FIFA World Cup in France 2019 for the first time in 20 years. The Bull as popularly called has featured in four FIFA Women’s World and won four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with the team and also won the Golden Boot Award at the 2014 continental showpiece.
She enjoys football across many countries abroad and even has a bus stop named after her in France. However, just as many African women’s players her romantic relationship is not known to the fans.
While speaking in a recent interview, she was asked about her relationship and what she wants her ideal man to be.
Just like Adekunke’s Orente who never complains about materialist things, like Davido’s assurance who doesn’t want Ferrari but love, Oparanozie gave a descriptive quality of her ideal type of man without the mention of money.
“My ideal type of man must be presentable, outspoken, and learned,” she told Pulse Sports.
“I’ve never fought over a man and I don’t think I will ever. Because if he is meant for me, I will not be stressed.”
