Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi reveals reasons for dumping Everton to join Fulham

Nigeria midfielder, Alexander Iwobi has revealed the reasons that made him dump Everton for Fulham in the English Premier League.

Iwobi joined the Cottagers on transfer deadline day in a speculated £22m move from the Toffees.

The Super Eagles enigma said he was excited receiving a call from the Fulham boss, Marco Silva as he shared the ambitions of the club which convinced him to commit his future to the club.

Iwobi adder Silva loves challenging his players and he has boosted his confidence at the club and he’s ready to repay the faith with breathtaking performances for the club.

“Marco Silva spoke to me and told me about the ambitions of the club [Fulham], and where he wants to go,” Iwobi was quoted by BluePrint.

“I’m on board, and I’m hoping I can bring something to Fulham. He wants to challenge for things and I feel like he gave me the confidence boost. I hope I’m able to repay the faith.”

Iwobi started his professional career at Arsenal before joining Everton in the summer of 2019.
