By Wale Mustapha

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially opened its mid-season transfer window for the 2024/2025 season, allowing clubs to strengthen their squads ahead of the second half of the campaign.

The transfer window is now open and will close on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. In a statement issued by the league’s Chief Operating Officer, Atta Aneke, clubs have been encouraged to use this period to bolster their teams before the league resumes.

With the first stanza of the season concluding on Tuesday, March 4, clubs are now focusing on reinforcing their squads in preparation for the second phase.

The upcoming period allows teams to either push for promotion or avoid relegation to the amateur division.

As it stands, Crown FC and Kun Khalifa FC are leading Group A and Group B, while Wikki Tourists FC and Yobe Desert Stars top Groups C and D, respectively.

The second stanza of the season will resume from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, March 23, 2025, across the four groups.

At the end of the season, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the NNL Super Eight playoff, where they will battle for promotion to the top flight.
