Nigeria Nationwide League One announce date for 2023 NLO congress

Nationwide League One (NLO) will hold its 2023 Annual General Meeting/Congress virtually on Tuesday, March 7.

In a correspondence addressed to the 36 State Football Associations plus FCT, the NLO Secretariat informed that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved the commencement of the 2023 season activities.

NLO has tasked State Football Association to coordinate Nationwide League Clubs to elect or appoint representative for the Congress.

The representative according to a release by NLO should ensure he has the Zoom application installed and functional on his device (phone/tablet) and be able to present all issues from the state club(s) they represent.

The NLO Secretariat further informed that the zoom link will be communicated to all representatives on Monday 6th March 2023.

The Congress is expected to map out the calendar for the league season and possibly decide league format and kick-off date for the season.

Last season’s format saw teams grouped on a zonal basis to ease away teams traveling for games with three groups housing Lagos-based clubs.

The third-tier league provides clubs that will gain promotion to second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL) at the end of the season.
