Nigeria striker Chinemerem Godwin joins Mosta FC from Kalju
Nigeria centre-forward Chinemerem Godwin has joined Mosta FC from Estonian club Kalju FC, completing a move to the Maltese side on 15 August 2026.
Godwin, 21, arrives after one season with Kalju in Estonia’s Premium Liiga. The 1.92m striker joined the club from Israeli side Bnei Sakhnin on 1 August 2025 and was part of the Kalju squad that won the Estonian Super Cup in 2026.
The move gives Mosta a Nigeria-born centre-forward whose preferred foot is his right. Godwin’s senior career has included spells in Israel, where he represented Bnei Sakhnin, Ramat haSharon and Hapoel Umm al-Fahm.
He joined Ramat haSharon on loan from Bnei Sakhnin in February 2025 before returning to his parent club at the end of that season. He had also spent the first half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Hapoel Umm al-Fahm.
Godwin began his senior career with Bnei Sakhnin’s under-19 side after moving from Jimmy Football Academy in September 2023. He subsequently stepped up to Bnei Sakhnin’s senior squad in July 2024.
His arrival at Mosta follows his spell in Estonia, where his honours include the 2026 Estonian Super Cup with Kalju. The striker’s transfer was registered on 15 August, marking his latest move across European football.
Godwin is now a Mosta FC player.
