Nigeria’s Eduwo Secures Move to CS Sfaxien in Tunisia

Tunisian football club CS Sfaxien has officially unveiled the acquisition of Nigerian striker Kingsley Eduwo, marking the culmination of a three-and-a-half-year contract agreement. The announcement was made by CS Sfaxien on their official website, solidifying Eduwo’s transition from Nigeria Professional Football League club Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi.
The 22-year-old forward, formerly associated with Sunshine Stars, is set to join forces with fellow Nigerian Kingsley Sokari at the Tunisian club. Eduwo’s prolific goal-scoring ability was prominently showcased during his tenure with Lobi Stars, where he netted an impressive 13 goals in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season.
With this move, Eduwo aspires to emulate the success of his childhood friend Junior Ajayi, who enjoyed a distinguished stint at CS Sfaxien before securing a high-profile transfer to Egyptian giants Al Ahly in 2016.
Despite being a crucial contributor to Nigeria’s qualification for the African Nations Championship in Morocco, Eduwo found himself omitted from the final squad for the competition. The exclusion was attributed to the impending move to CS Sfaxien, underlining the significance of his transition to the Tunisian outfit.
As Eduwo embarks on this new chapter of his career with CS Sfaxien, football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate his impact on the pitch and the potential parallels with Ajayi’s journey to football stardom.
