NNL: Gombe United coach Bala Nikyu targets strong team for new season

Gombe United head coach, Bala Nkiyu, is focused on preparing a rejuvenated team as they gear up for the upcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Savannah Scorpions will compete in the Northern Conference, Group C, of the new NNL campaign, and Nkiyu is confident that the team will be well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
Speaking ahead of the season, Nkiyu emphasized the importance of preseason tournaments in shaping the team and ensuring that the best players are selected for the competition. The coach is hopeful that the team will emerge from these matches sharper and ready to compete.
“It will be an opportunity to fine-tune the team, as we are about to finalize the list of players that will feature in the upcoming season,” Nkiyu was quoted by Gombe United.
“We are in the final stage of our main team selection, so we are looking forward to competing in the tournament,” he added, expressing his optimism for the team’s performance in the coming season.
As the NNL season approaches, all eyes will be on Gombe United as they look to build on their preparations and put forward a strong showing in the league.
