NPFL boss Gbenga Elegbeleye gives insights on partnership with Sevilla

Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye has disclosed the positive impact of the partnership with Spanish side, Sevilla.
Elegbeleye recently sealed an alliance deal with the Rojiblancos regarding the growth of the NPFL youth league and coaches.
The Nigeria topflight league chief said the collaboration with Sevilla will further enhance the growth of youth football in the country.
He added indigenous coaches will be exposed to international practice in Spain through the collaborative efforts of both parties.
“I feel that, with their development strategy and their youth development programme, Nigeria can benefit,” Elegbeleye said in Spain.
“We believe that the best players in the Nigeria Youth League will be able to come here every season to train. With your help and training, when they return, they can become better players.
“We also have a training agreement for our coaches that will be positive for us. It is a win-win arrangement for everyone in the NPFL.”
Elegbeleye revealed the recent acquisition of Chidera Ejuke by the Rojiblancos has expanded the fan base of the Spanish club in Nigeria.
“When they signed Chidera Ejuke from Royal Antwerp, Nigerians showed a lot of interest in Sevilla FC. All the football lovers in Nigeria are happy. They want to know more about Sevilla now, the fan base in Nigeria is growing every day.”
