NPFL: Daniel Ogunmodede tasks Remo Stars to keep fighting for more in title charge

By Wale Mustapha

Remo Stars’ Technical Adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, has expressed his determination to leave nothing to chance as his side pushes for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

The Sky Blue Stars currently sit atop the NPFL standings with 54 points from 27 matches, holding an impressive 11-point lead over second-placed Rivers United.

Ogunmodede emphasized that his team will continue to fight for every point as they aim to secure their first-ever league title.

“Our focus is on the remaining 33 points in the league. We are going for every single point, and that is what matters to us,” Ogunmodede told the club media.

Looking ahead to their next match against Bendel Insurance, Ogunmodede acknowledged the strong form of the Benin-based side in recent games, but remains confident in his team’s ability to maintain their lead.

“Bendel Insurance has been in good form lately, especially in their last seven games,” Ogunmodede noted.

The Remo Stars coach also confirmed that they will be without their captain for the upcoming clash. While acknowledging the captain’s significant influence in the squad, he emphasized the collective strength of the team.

“We will be without our captain, but it’s just one player out of 26 registered players. His influence is massive in the group, but no player is inevitable,” Ogunmodede added.

Remo Stars will look to extend their lead as they prepare for their next fixture in the NPFL.
