NPFL: Enugu Rangers sign speedy forward Eni Daniel from Abakaliki FC

By Wale Mustapha

Enugu Rangers have announced the signing of promising striker Eni Daniel from Abakaliki FC on a two-year deal, as the club looks to bolster its attacking options ahead of the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Daniel, known for his pace and agility, joins the Flying Antelopes following an impressive campaign with Abakaliki FC, where he helped guide the team to the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup.

Despite his strong performances, his former side lost the final to Kwara United on penalties.

The 21-year-old also featured prominently in the Nigeria National League (NNL) but was unable to prevent Abakaliki FC from being relegated at the end of the just-concluded season.

His arrival is expected to inject fresh energy into Rangers’ frontline, with club officials hopeful that Daniel can make an immediate impact as they aim to return to the top of Nigerian club football.

Rangers won the 2023/2024 NPFL title but endured a disappointing title defense last season, finishing seventh on the league table.

The Coal City club officially unveiled Daniel this week, with pre-season preparations now underway.
