NPFL: Finidi George tasks Enyimba to maintain winning momentum

Enyimba International head coach, Finidi George has backed the club to continue their winning momentum as the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) progress.

The People’s Elephant pipped Bendel Insurance 2-1 in Aba to register another home win of the season.

Finidi lamented the missed chances of the game despite dominating possession from all fronts as the former international urged the players to build on their present form to attract success.

“It’s a game where we dominated, we created chances,” Finidi told Enyimba media.

“First half we couldn’t score, but in the second half we had clear cut chances before the goals started coming in. So a good display from the players. We are all happy.

“I think we have to continue like this, they just have to keep believing in themselves and hopefully we’ll get the job done. It’s not going to be easy but I’m quite happy with this victory.”

Heartland will host eight placed Enyimba at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Saturday, November 25.
