NPFL goalscoring debut excites Kwara United’s Godwin Oshagbemi

Kwara United’s youngster Godwin Oshagbemi expressed delight with the opportunity of scoring one of the most important goals of his young career.
Kwara United brought in the trio of Godwin Oshagbemi, Abubakar Garba and Sunday Chinedu from the KFA and registered them for the NPFL as junior players.
The Kwara Football Academy product has achieved with his first professional goal in his first start against Elkanemi Warriors when he came on as a substitute o score the winning goal to seal the first away win for the club this term.
The young attacker who is popularly known as ‘Kogi Boy’ believes the goal signaled a career breakthrough for him.
“I am very excited scoring one of the most important goals of my career, and I will want to commend my senior and most senior teammates for their support,” Oshagbemi told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“I will also want to thank the management and the coaches for having confidence in me. It was my first professional goal, and very crucial because it did not only win us the match, it also lifted the club up on the ladder.
“If we had lost, we would have been down there, which will keep us under more pressure in the second round. The goal is equally important to my career, and has motivated me in giving my best to the club.
“It’s also a motivation for the upcoming players who may have such opportunities, I will also want to thank the Kwara Football Academy for giving me the opportunity.”
