NPFL: Imama Amapakabo concerned over Abia Warriors’ scoring woes

By Wale Mustapha

Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo has expressed concern over his team’s continued struggle to convert scoring opportunities in the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The ‘Umu Chineke’ side have managed only nine goals so far and have recorded just one away win, adding to the former Super Eagles coach’s worries about their attacking efficiency.

“My challenge is that we’re not converting as much as we’re creating,” Amapakabo told Complete Sports.

“We also need to do better on the road, but getting this result keeps us in the chasing pack. We’ll continue working.”

Amapakabo has urged his players to replicate their training intensity during matches to improve their goal-scoring output.

Abia Warriors are set to face Niger Tornadoes in Matchday 11 this weekend in Minna, where they will aim to end their scoring drought and secure vital points.
