NPFL: Lobi Stars seeks divine help to turn dismal season around

By Wale Mustapha
Lobi Stars, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, have sought divine intervention to turn around their season after a challenging start.
Both players and officials gathered at the McCarthy Stadium in Makurdi on Wednesday for prayers led by Rev Fr Emmanuel Asue, asking for luck and success.
Fr Asue urged the players to show more determination to overcome the club’s current struggles. Lobi Stars are still searching for their first win after four matches in the NPFL this season.
“As Jabez was blessed to become the most respected among his brothers, Lobi Stars will stand tall as one of the best in the Nigeria Premier Football League,” Fr Asue said.
Lobi Stars will face Shooting Stars in their next league game on Sunday at the Lafia Township Stadium.
