NPFL: Mbwas Mangut sets ambitious target for Plateau United

Plateau United coach Mbwas Mangut has set his sights on securing a continental spot for the club in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
After finishing fifth in the last campaign, Mangut is determined to elevate the team’s performance.
Despite the competition from other clubs vying for continental qualification, Mangut believes strongly in Plateau United’s aspirations.
“Every team in the league is also pushing for a continental ticket, but for now, it’s too early to say you will get it,” he stated. “Our dream is to work towards it.”
Reflecting on the previous season, Mangut noted, “Last season, we lost out in the final two games of the season, with Shooting Stars being one of the teams that stopped us.”
He emphasized the importance of learning from past mistakes and maintaining focus this time around.
The Tin City Boys will look to kickstart their ambition when they host Niger Tornadoes at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, September 22.
Mangut’s commitment to the team’s goals sets an optimistic tone for the upcoming season.
