Niger Tornadoes’ Technical Adviser, Mohammed Magin, has lauded Ikorodu City as a strong and well-organized side following their goalless draw in a tense Matchday 13 encounter at the Bako Kotangora Stadium on Saturday.

Despite dominating possession and creating multiple chances, Niger Tornadoes were held to a frustrating stalemate by the NPFL debutants.

Magin, while disappointed by his team’s inability to capitalize on their opportunities, acknowledged the solid performance of the Oga Boys.

“We created chances but failed to capitalize on them,” Magin said after the match.

“Ikorodu City are not a bad side. Since their current coach took over, they have been in excellent form and doing well. They’ve lost just once in many games, but that doesn’t mean they are invincible. If we had taken our chances, the result could have been different.”

Magin also stressed that the competitive nature of the NPFL, emphasizing that despite the setback, he remains optimistic about his team’s future.

“Against Bayelsa United in midweek, we’ll go there and see what we can get positively,” he added.

This draw marks another solid point for Ikorodu City, who continue to impress in their first season in Nigeria’s top tier.

As for Niger Tornadoes, Magin’s focus will now shift to ensuring his team takes full advantage of their upcoming matches.
